A celebration organized for the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Germany, Looking Far with a Broad Mind: the group exhibition featuring works by Chinese artists who have studied in Germany recently commenced at the National Center for the Performing Arts. The exhibition intends to present a panoramic view of the fruitful artistic achievements of Chinese artists who used to study and live in Germany since the reform and opening up, through a systematic and academic review. It highlights works of 40 Chinese artists who have learned in Germany from different visual arts fields, which provides the public with an opportunity to learn the process of how this group of artists have thought and explored during the epochal development amid the cultural and artistic exchanges between China and Germany, while integrating the artistic advantages of the two countries.

Artist Kiki Smith donated her print “Wooden Moon” to the CAFA Art Museum

Beijing, on the Morning October 25th, the donation ceremony for the print Wooden Moon donated by the internationally acclaimed American artist Kiki Smith to the CAFA Art Museum, was held in the Auditorium of CAFA. Fan Di’an, President of CAFA, Chairman of China Artists Association and Chairman of Beijing Artists Association, Qiu Zhijie, Vice President of CAFA, Zhang Zikang, Director of CAFA Art Museum, Gao Gao, Deputy Director of CAFA Art Museum, Yang Hongwei, Deputy Director of Printmaking Department of CAFA, and Li Yaochen, Director of the Collection Department of CAFA Art Museum attended the ceremony. Artist Kiki Smith, Tomas Vu, Director of LeRoy Neiman Center for Print Studies in the School of the Arts at Columbia University, and Xinyi Liu (online), curator of “A Journey Through Printmaking: International Printmaking Art Exhibition”; Wang Chunchen, Deputy Director of CAFA Art Museum, presided over the ceremony.
